Premier Care Solutions

After over twenty years in Academia as a full time tenured Professor, and after raising four children, this is my second career.
In 1999, I had a life changing experience: my own mother, my best friend became critically ill. I left work, my family and took care of my mother full time.
This was the hardest thing I had ever done, to watch someone that I dearly loved, dying and knowing that there was no cure. Receiving second opinions from
doctors from all over the world led me to believe that the only option left for me was to provide quality of life for the remaining weeks and months.
During those months, I saw, heard and absorbed much from fellow care givers, patients at the end of life, hospices, hospitals, nurses and doctors. I observed
what patients want, how they yearn to be with loved ones, and seek to be treated normally. I became aware of needs and care, started looking at care with
over-sensitized eyes.
I emerged a different person. I started volunteering at Inglis House in Philadelphia. Before long I realized that the caring I had done working with young
minds was just an introduction to the beginning of a second career: Premier Care Solutions.
